WU Libraries' Forum with Comparative Literature Graduate Students

Hosted by Brian Vetruba, Germanic Languages and Literatures, Comparative Literature, and European Studies Librarian

Pizza and drinks will be served.

Following on the faculty panel on publishing earlier this month, the first part will be a presentation of additional information on getting work published. Specifically, Brian will show you the MLA Directory of Periodicals, a database of publishing information on individual journals. He will also provide a short overview of Open Access as it relates to the Humanities, your intellectual property/copyright rights as an author, and submitting to discipline and institutional repositories (e.g. Academia.edu, Humanities Commons, Open Scholarship).

In the second part of the forum, Brian will give a brief overview of lesser-known library services available to you and the Libraries’ policies on purchasing print and electronic materials. You’ll learn how you can help Brian in building the collections you need. Most of all, though, Brian wants to your hear YOUR thoughts and questions about library services and collections.
