Baba Badji finalist in The Seattle Review's Poetry Chapbook contest

Current Ph.D. student Baba Badji (Comparative Literature's track for international writers) was listed as a finalist in the 2016 Poetry Chapbook Contest sponsored by The Seattle Review for his chapbook, entitled Owls of Senegal. 

The winner was Xandria Phillips' Reasons for Smoking, and the two top finalists were James Meetze's The Long Now and Alison Srub's Panacea.  The judge was poet Claudine Rankine.
